Mr.Chappell Call me

Mr.Chappell ur contact no.s please..

And so between Soccer, basketball and F1, not to mention the 'love' affair...I still managed to be in touch with the cricket action.

A few things worth noticing..well not for me...But for Dravid and Greg Chappell if they DO blog hopping..that is..

You might want to heed the advice, considering how my prev cricket posts were bang on...and eventually, u 2 did do something similar..(he he..)..here goes the next piece of vignette..

The ODI series has to be viewed as just one of those things..

the good thing was the closeness of the series, the emergence of the WI( atleast on home turf) and the need to get some really quick bowlers...and ofcourse for Pathan to bend his butt over..and get some speed in..

So back to our test match attack...Munaf seems to be the find...and I was thinking as much after his Ranji exploits in tandem with Zaheer..
Unfortunately..zaheer fizzled out after they brought him in, on the basis of his showing..

But I guess, Munaf is more of a partnership breaker rather than the main seamer...and so he would do well in the presence of an incisive left arm seamer..

Currently Pathan doesnt have the pace on these kind of wickets, to be incisive..

The next stop would be Zaheer and nehra, considering both are returning back to competitive cricket..

and ofcourse Balaji who has the knack of bowling the outswingers and leg cutters which should compliment the likes of Munaf and the left armers, pretty well...

Of course, if Zaheer still shows that he hasnt learned and doesnt produce pace, time to put more faith in RP singh and get him to partner Munaf...

Zaheer had all those wicket taking stuff, in Ranji trophy last year, courtesy munaf..and now in COunty cricket partnering Kabir Ali..and those two are similar bowlers that make batsmen play every delivery...

As for Sreesanth and VRV Singh..they will have to find partners they can bowl well in Tandem...Wouldnt hurt to go back to ranji and find one from their respective zones...I am not happy with both their actions..not that it is slimy, but just that they are not utilizing their height at the point of delivery both of them seem to be croching a bit at delivery stride, VRV with his legs, and Sreesanth with his shortish arm action..

So the thinktank...can you listen....

If you still aint convinced, please look at my earlier posts and decide...:-D
